Takeshi Kaneshiro (b. Japan, 1973) was only 19 when he signed a contract with EMI Records. His popularity as a singer paved his way into acting in 1993. In 2015, forty films later, he will be seen in the second part of John Woo’s 3D epic drama The Crossing and in Zhang Jiajia’s feature The Ferryman, produced by Wong Kar-wai.
